All of these stories share the same stump before they branch out on their own – they all center around someone who lied and created an entirely new world in order to obtain influence and take things that don’t belong to them. They’re Swindle Stories. Or, as I like to call them, Swindle Porn.

It’s children’s movie week on Reviews For No Reason, apparently. But hey, I like kid’s media. I’m reading a children’s mystery book series right now. I enjoy the simplicity – not to say that the media is simple in a bad way, it’s just simplistic. It’s not trying to impress anyone by being fancy, it’s just trying to be entertaining and real, and I find a lot of comfort in that.

When lockdown first started, I made a pact with a friend to do yoga and Duolingo every day. She kept up with the yoga, and I’m currently pushing 400 days on my Duolingo streak. Last summer I watched Narcos: Mexico to brush up on my conversational Spanish (that was a mistake). This year, I’ve been binging Gentefied on Netflix.
